Two-part verbs

     PLAY DOWN - to make something seem less important.
Teacher played down my excuse of missing in class so I took very low score.
Some people play down them activity and they don't understand why they are a losers.
      PUT UP WITH -  to make peace with somebody.
They are going to put up with them.
I think you have to put up with him.

Mantys Recipe

     Manty is a traditional Kazakh dish made from finaly choped meat, onion and pumkin, wrapped in dough. It is  a very rich dish. Mantys taste is very soft and yummy. Despite an abudence of meat, mantys is healthy food. You will never have problem with your stomach.
     For the preparation of mantys you will need the following ingredients:
     - 1 pound beef;
     - 1 pound lamb;
     - 1 pound pumpkin;
     - 2 onions;
     - dough rolled out and cut into round pieces (the size of the palm);
     - a special pan for steam.
     First, cut into small pieces and mix all ingredients. Then wrap the mixed ingredients into the cut pieces of dough. Next, put the them on the oiled wheels of the special pans and steam them for 40-50 min. Finally, serve hot mantys with various sauses:
     a) hot spices: dried, ground pepper fried in oil;
     b) sause: mashed tomatoes with garlic and paprica;
     c) milk products: kefir, sour cream.
